HI, NICE TO MEET YOU!
Hi, I’m Mari-Liis, a family photographer based in Hertfordshire, specialising in maternity, newborn, baby, and family portraiture.
I’ve always been fascinated by people, their stories, and their uniqueness. In the past, this passion came through in my travel photography — capturing local people, their way of living, the colours, exotic flavours, and art that told the story of their lives and culture. I loved being a storyteller.
My own motherhood has shifted that focus inward. It’s made me more reflective about my own upbringing, my roots, and the legacy I want to create for my son. Growing up in a time when chances for family photos were rare — usually just once a year, if that — I find myself searching for tangible traces of love and connection from my own childhood memories, realising how patchy they are. I want something different for my son.
And I want that for you, too.
When you invite me to photograph your family, you can trust that I will be just as passionate and invested in documenting your story as I am in my own.

MY STYLE
My style is simple, natural, and timeless. I blend the skill and artistry of classic portraiture with my love of storytelling. I know when to gently guide you and when to step back, allowing those tender in-between moments to unfold. My goal is to always capture you as you — on your very best day. Because I know parenthood can feel messy and overwhelming , and in those everyday moments it’s easy to forget how beautiful, capable, and strong you really are.

And I’m here to remind you of that — to show you the beauty in your connection, the depth of your love, and the strength that carries you through these fleeting years of childhood and the journey of your own parenthood.
